Countries such as Vietnam and Bangladesh hardly existed on the textile production map. Now, they are two of the largest producers of textiles around the world.

Less than 20 years ago, China was consuming cotton fiber merely to satisfy its domestic market. Now, China is the largest producer of textiles around the world importing millions of tons of fibers to meet their export demands around the world.
